BYRNE, MARY (nee KENNEDY) of Holyrood (formerly of Avondale)
It is with heavy hearts and great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Mary on June 15, 2021 at the Health Sciences Centre, St. John’s. Mary is predeceased by her parents, Walter and Ellen (Nellie) Kennedy as well as her brothers Walter Jr. and Gerard. She leaves to mourn with a lifetime of memories her husband of 55 years Peter; her cherished sons, Perry (Odelia) and Barry (Liz); her precious grandchildren Jeff (Crystal), Kaitlyn, Barry Jr. and Bradley; her two adored great-grandchildren Chloe and Amelia. She was a remarkable sister to Ann (Len) Skanes, Ed (Lucy) and Bill (Dianne). Mary was a truly gifted and wonderful person who was loved by and devoted to the many people she worked with over the years, her family and a terrific group of friends. Cremation has taken place, a graveside service and burial will be held at Assumption Cemetery in Avondale at a time and date to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Assumption Cemetery Committee, P.O. Box 138, Avondale, NL, AOA lBO or by e-transfer to williamk@persona.ca
