Obituary
Mary-Anne Chalmers was born on April 24th, 1945 in Sarnia, Ontario. Mary-Anne relocated to Toledo, Ohio in 1960, where she completed her Secondary schooling and her Business College education. She lived and worked in Toledo until the early 1980’s at which time, she moved to Ontario residing most of her remaining life in downtown Toronto. Sadly, Mary-Anne passed away on February 12th, 2021. She was diagnosed with cancer in April of 2020 and has been in the UHN (University Health Network) since that time. The care that was provided to her from the UHN has been second to none. She could not have secured a better medical system to deal with her advanced disease. She passed from this life peacefully in her sleep. Mary-Anne’s parents, Charlotte (Dot) (Prudom) Chalmers and Karl Robert Chalmers both passed away in 1987 and 1990 respectively. Mary-Anne is survived by her brother Robert Arthur Chalmers, currently residing in Comox Valley on Vancouver Island. Due to the current Covid health crisis, there will be not be a Celebration of Life. Anyone wishing to recognize the life of Mary-Anne could do so with a contribution to the Cancer Society.
