Obituary of Martin David Marks
It is with great sadness that the family of Martin David Marks announce his passing on March 5, 2021. Born in Saint John, NB, on December 30, 1961, Martin was a son of the late Alfred and Helen (Boyle) Marks.
Martin loved his family, and his friends, and was always there for them when needed. He loved life, and had a good time no matter what was going on around him. Martin drove a taxi for many years and his family will always remember the great stories that he shared from his days behind the wheel. He had a passion for yard sales, and always dreamed of opening his own antique store. Martin will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
Martin is survived by his sons: David Marks (Lisa Mott) of Salt Springs, NB, Martin Marks of Toronto, ON, and Eric Orser of Edmonton, AB; his grandchildren: Magen, Josslyn, Charlie, and Bailey; his brother, Gerald Marks of Kingston, NB; his sisters: Veta Wood (Winston) of Saint John, and Debbie Long (Ken) of Bloomfield; along with several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Martin was predeceased by his sister, Judith Richard.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Reid’s Funeral Home, 1063 Main St, Hampton, NB. Martin’s family will hold a Celebration of Life for him at a later date. Donations in memory of Martin may be made to the New Brunswick SPCA or a charity of the donor’s choice. Personal condolences to the family, and memorial donations, may be made through ReidsFH.com
