Martin Magonet 2021

Martin Magonet
It is with profound sadness that the family of Martin Seymour Magonet announces his peaceful passing just days before his 87th birthday, on Saturday, March 13, 2021 surrounded by his family.
Beloved husband of Wilma Goldstein for fifty-seven years. Marty & Wilma shared a love and passion for one another that was boundless. Through good times or bad, their bond was unbreakable. He was the loving father and father-in-law of Howard Magonet & Louise Shiller, Mitch Magonet & Dr. Lisa Merovitz. Cherished Papa of Sarah, Charlotte, Katie and Brooke. Son of the late Louis & the late Annie Magonet. Brother and brother-in-law of the late Harold & late Beatty Magonet, Malka and the late Allan Magonet; Loving brother-in-law of Sharon & Jonathan Rubin, Reisa & Bruce Vineberg. He was loved dearly by all of his nieces and nephews and shared a special bond with his nephew Michael Magonet. He was adored by his many cousins who he kept in touch with regularly from all corners of the Earth.
Anyone who knew Marty would always describe him as a kind, warm and gentle soul. Marty always took the time to make anyone he met or spoke to feel special. He will be truly missed by all his family, relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the nurses and staff at Maimonides and the nurses and doctors working in the ICU at the Jewish General Hospital.
A private graveside service will be held. Shiva is strictly private. Contributions in Marty’s memory may to the Donald Berman Maimonides Geriatric Centre Foundation (514) 483-2121 ext. 2207.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Martin Magonet 2021..
