Martin George McCabe October 9th 1929 May 15th 2021

Now resting in the arms of his Lord and Savior, Martin George McCabe was welcomed to heaven on May 15, 2021, at the age of 91. Martin was born on October 9, 1929 in Inwood, and lived in Sarnia for most of his life. He was the middle child of thirteen siblings. Beloved husband of Doris McCabe. Loving father of Gary (Sue) McCabe, Michele (Greg) Coleman, and Enno Kaasik. Cherished grandfather of Nathan (Jess), Jessie (Shaun), Ryan, Calista, and Celeste. Predeceased by his parents Edwin and Vera McCabe and by his daughter Linda Kaasik. Martin is the last surviving member of the original group of children who met at White St. Mission which later became known as Bethel Pentecostal Church. He was active over the years as an Elder, Sunday school teacher, bus driver and so many other ministries in the church. Martin ran his own painting company for over sixty years. He owned M.G. McCabe Painting. He will be dearly missed by his family and close friends. A special thank you to the PSW’s at Bayshore, the VON nurses, LHIN Care Coordinator, Rosemary, good neighbour, Tammy Gibson and the BWH ICU team for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place. Due to Covid restrictions, a celebration of Martin’s life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, sympathy may be expressed through donations to Bethel Pentecostal Church or Lakeshore Community Church (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please). Arrangements entrusted to SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 1576 London Line, Sarnia.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Martin George McCabe October 9th 1929 May 15th 2021..
