Martha Lawson Bailey February 27 1928 October 22 2021 (age 93)

Obituary
Peacefully, in her 95th year, Martha “Doreen” Bailey has moved on.
Born in Winnipeg, on February 27, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Martha Lawson.
In the early 1950’s, while setting up an office in Toronto for her employer James Richardson and Sons, she met and eventually married the late Richard Bailey.
Together they travelled through every province in Canada, the vast majority of the United States, along with setting foot in Europe, and even North Africa. As many will attest, Doreen loved nothing better than to share the stories of the many places she had visited, while enjoying a cold beer on a warm afternoon, or a neat brandy on a cool autumn night.
Predeceased by her sisters Anne McCaw and Betty Johnson, and her brother Gary Lawson, she is survived by her brother Tom Lawson and his wife Elizabeth, and her son, Stewart Bailey, and his wife Evelyn.
She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by friends and family alike.
Special thanks to the staff of the Belmont Long Term Care Facility in Belleville for the excellent care she had in her final years. Cremation has taken place with Milestone Cremation Services, Napanee. Online condolences and memories can be shared at www.milestonecremation.ca
