CURRIE, Martha Irene
Martha died peacefully, after a three-month battle with cancer, at Mariposa House Hospice, in Severn Township on March 1, 2021. She was 81 years old. Martha (Kirk) was the beloved wife of Eric Currie of Washago and Loring. She was the much-loved mother of Marina of Toronto and Norman (Sonya) of Queensville. Grandma will be lovingly remembered by Jacob and Mercedes and great-granddaughter Sena Rose. Martha was the dear sister of Diane Schlichter of Parry Sound, Brian Kirk of Washago, Margaret Gomez of Oro-Medonte, John Kirk of Burlington and Mary Ellen Molinaro of Mississauga. Martha retired after a long career as an administrator with TD Bank. Cremation has taken place. The Currie family will receive visitors at the Paul Funeral Home, Powassan on Saturday, March 13, 2021 from 1:00 to 2:00 pm with a maximum of 50 people in attendance. COVID-19 protocols apply. Please register your visitation time by calling the funeral home at 705-724-2024. A closed memorial service will take place at the Paul Funeral Home at 2:00 pm.
