Obituary
It is with heartbreak and sadness the family of Marlene Miller announce her passing which occurred at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Thursday March 11, 2021. Born in Saint John April 26, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Douglas and Ruth (Nice) Taylor and the loving wife of the late Arnold Miller. Marlene worked for NB tel and MRA Department Stores retiring after she and Arnold were married. She was a member of Summerville United & Bayswater Union Churches. Marlene enjoyed cooking, square dancing, quilting, card parties, movies, reading and loved laughing with family and friends. As the mother of the neighborhood she ran the roost with a firm wooden spoon and had stock in the company. Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her children, Chris (Brenda) of Saint John, Lisa Moore (Dave) of Dartmouth, NS and Grant (April) of Kingston Peninsula; grandchildren Cordell Miller (Breanna), Nicholas Miller (Jessica), Jazmin Miller (Brandon) and Keith McLaughlin; several great-grandchildren; brother Blair Taylor (Barb) of Saint John; sisters Cheryl Cormier (Brian) of Saint John and Lynn Adams (Donnie) of Lorneville; nieces, nephews, special caregiver Karen from Kindred Care and many loving friends and neighbors from the peninsula. Along with her parents, Marlene was predeceased by her loving husband Arnold Miller.
Arrangements are under the direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road (646-2424). Visitation will be held from on Thursday July 22, 2021 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Memorial service will be held from the Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Friday July 23rd, 2021 at 1:00 p.m., followed by interment at Bayswater, Spruce Hill Cemetery.
