Obituary for Mark Stewart
Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 23, 2021, surrounded by his loving family. Mark was a devoted husband to Wendy, proud and supportive Dad to Brian (Kristan), Lauren and Alec (Becca), and adoring Papa to Benson. He also leaves behind his siblings Jann, Blair (Kathy), Lisa (Gary) and Jill (Glynn), sisters-in-law Gayle, Bev, and Dawn (David), and nieces and nephews Lindsay, Colin, Evan, Scott, Drew, Jeremy, Russell and Lucie. Predeceased by his parents Herb and Carmelita, and nephew Neil. We cherish his warm and generous heart, steadfast support to his loved ones, his strength and gentle nature, and his love for feeding people. Mark found both passion and meditation in the culinary arts, reflected through all of his divine food. (His key lime pie and his paté are legendary). Our thanks to the staff at OTMH, visiting nurses from LHIN, and Dr. Kathryn Swan for their compassionate care. A Celebration of Life will be held at Circle of Life Cremation and Burial Centre, 100 King St. E, Dundas on Tuesday, December 28, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Due to Covid restrictions, please register your attendance by calling Circle of Life at 905-628-8558. In lieu of flowers, you may wish to honour his life by making a donation to Good Shepherd or your local food bank.

  1. I shared a cottage with Mark, Jeff Wadsworth and others the summer of ’72, somewhere up north. A friendly gentle giant of a man (stuck in a small Volkswagen). Always a lot of fun. Bill Mecke, Scarborough
