It is with profound sadness that the family of Mark Bishop announce his passing at Bluewater Health, on Wednesday, May 19, 2021, at 61. Beloved husband of 35 years to Debbie (Kennedy). Proud father of Tyler (Samantha), and beloved grandpa to Owen and Anna Bishop. Lovingly remembered by his brothers and sisters, Mickey (Catherine) Bishop, Murray (Sue) Bishop, Kerry (Rosie) Armitage, Karen Armitage, and Kelley Armitage. Cherished brother-in-law to the Kennedy family. Fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends. Greatly missed by Max and Holly. Predeceased by his parents Barbara (Kenneth) Armitage and Tom Bishop. Mark was a retiree from Imperial Oil. He enjoyed his life traveling, golfing, woodworking, fixing cars, and his weekly Tuesday night meetings with the neighbours. Mark was a proud grandpa and loved his grandkids dearly. You could find him at every hockey game or dance recital, as the kids’ greatest fan. Mark had a love for hockey that brought him on trips with friends and family across the world. He lived his life with a smile on his face and was always up for an adventure! The family wishes to thank the doctors, nurses, and supporting staff at Bluewater Health in the ICU department for taking care of Mark. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Ontario or the Canadian Cancer Society (cheques mailed to the funeral home or made online, please). Cremation has taken place.
