It is with great sadness that the family of Marion Louise Strowbridge, 86, of Lunenburg announces her passing on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Harbour View Haven Home for Special Care, Lunenburg.
Born in First Peninsula, she was the daughter of the late Gertrude Lohnes.
In her earlier years, Marion worked at Kerr’s restaurant and cleaned homes for folks and then went to work at National Sea Products for many years.
She was a quiet person who enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, spending time at home with her children and enjoying playing games with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Many will remember Marion for her love of walking and she was a member of St. John’s Anglican Church, Lunenburg.
Marion is survived by daughters, Mandy (Russell) Eisenhauer, Rhodes Corner; Beatrice Heim (Stephen Mossman), Lunenburg; son, Kirk (Rose) Strowbridge, Centre; grandchildren, Rachel (Sam Hiltz), April (Josh Clarke), Tracey (Chris Hodder), Jessica (Nick Francis), Kirk Savory and Kelsey Heim and great grandchildren, Sylas, Xavier, Isla, Liam, Zayn, Noah, Avery, Harley and Hendrix.
She was predeceased by her husband, Chesley.
Funeral Arrangements are under the direction of the Dana L. Sweeny Funeral Home, 11213 Hwy. # 3, Lunenburg where a funeral Service to celebrate Marion’s life will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Laura Marie Piotrowicz, officiating. Interment will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Lunenburg. Covid-19 restriction to apply.
In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society or to a charity of your choice.
