Obituary
It is with deep sadness that the family of Marilyn Jean (Beddow) Pitman, loving wife of Charles Pitman, wish to announce her passing which occurred on December 5, 2021, at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born at Sydney Mines, NS, May 9, 1946, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Doris (Snow) Beddow.
Besides her beloved husband Charles, she is survived by her sons; Rob (Linda), Jon (Susan) and Nathan, her grandchildren: Zackery, Christie, Dylan, Matthew, Savannah and Bowman, her brothers; Adrian (Margaret) and Liam (Sharon), special niece Bobby-Joe (Greg) along with several cousins, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brothers; Harry, Joe, Walter and Jackie, and sisters; Alice and Sharon.
Marilyn had a kind heart and a generous spirit. She took pleasure in caring for others and especially giving gifts. She loved to bake and couldn’t resist giving everyone some sort of “treat” to take with them when they left her house. She often kept candy in the car to give it to someone they might meet in passing, or a friendly cashier. She enjoyed her Ipad and kept in touch with many family members and old friends via email. She was fiercely proud of her husband, children, and grandchildren. All who knew her, felt loved by her. Although the family is devastated by this loss, they feel peace in knowing that Marilyn is rejoicing with her Saviour, in heaven.
