Obituary
It is with great sadness, we announce the passing of Marilyn Frances Ruegsegger (Muhr), born February 22, 1942 and passed away April 4, 2021 at the age of 79 years.
Marilyn was predeceased by her infant son, Marlin Hordos, her parents Mathias (Max) and Katherine Muhr.
Marilyn is survived by her children: Dwight Hordos, Calgary, AB; Karen Bitonti and her children, [Maria and Vince]; Calgary, AB; her brothers, Robert (Marilyn) Muhr and family; Michael (Madeleine) Muhr and family; and her sister, Jacqueline Stainbrook (Gordon Hodgkin) and family.
Marilyn was a loving mother, grandmother and sister. Her grandchildren, Maria and Vince, meant the world to her. She courageously fought her one year battle with lung cancer. Her resilience and positive attitude kept her fighting until the end.
Marilyn’s family thanks the staff of Fillmore Union Health Centre for the compassionate care and friendship which they provided to Marilyn during the last six months.
A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at a later date at the Francis Cemetery, Francis, SK.
For family and friends so wishing, charitable donations in memory of Marilyn may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 1910 McIntyre Street, Regina, SK, S4P 2R3.
