Obituary of Marie Thorne
Thorne- Marie (nee Moore) of Port Colborne passed away peacefully at Northland Pointe on Friday August 27, 2021 at the age of 84 years. Beloved wife of Jack, loving mom of Susan and her husband Dick McIntyre and Chris and his wife Beth. Dear Grandma of Leah (Joe), Nicole (Heini), Holly (Jon), Megan (Kris), Patrick, Ben and her 9 great grandchildren. Marie is also survived by her sister Linda and her husband Art Waines and will be missed by her many nieces, nephews, family and friends. She is predeceased by her sister Ruby Cassidy and her great granddaughter Sadie Ng. Marie was a proud employee of Sears for 17 years. She enjoyed many years as an active member of the Kinette Club Port Colborne. After retirement she enjoyed spending her summers in Buckhorn and winters in Largo, Florida. At Marie’s request cremation has taken place. The Thorne family will receive visitors at the DAVIDSON FUNERAL HOME, 135 Clarence Street, Port Colborne on Saturday, September 11, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. followed by a private family funeral service in the Davidson Chapel (Masks must be worn and social distancing maintained). Memorial remembrances to the Hospital for Sick Children would be appreciated by the family.
