KONKLE, Marie “Sherrie” (nee McKinney) – Passed away peacefully at the Woolcott Wing of the Welland General Hospital on Wednesday September 8, 2021 at the age of 83. Beloved wife of Gary Konkle for 63 years. Loving mother of Cheryl Konkle, Karen (Ben) Pare, Lori (Blaine) Murawski and Brett Konkle (Teanna Brown). Caring grandmother of Blaine “BJ” Murawski Jr. (Sylvia), Carrie Murawski, Dylan Pare, Nick Brown and Josh Brown. Predeceased by her parents Hugh and Joan McKinney, her Granny Emily Cuthbertson and her brothers Garry McKinney and Bill McKinney. Fondly remembered by many friends and her extended family. Sherrie volunteered for the restoration of the Morningstar Mill where she spent her time keeping the gardens which was her passion. She also helped with her husband Gary at the Niagara Antique Power Association in Sherkston where she would help greet people when they visited. Sherrie enjoyed traveling to carnivals, restaurants and other type of events for the culinary delights.
A private family funeral service will take place followed by an interment at Lundy’s Lane Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to MORSE & SON FUNERAL HOME, 5917 Main Street. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make a memorial donation to your local Humane Society or the Canadian Cancer Society.
Because remembering her is easy, we do it every day, but there is an ache with in our hearts, that will never go away. Love you forever, your husband, children and grandchildren.
