Marie Maureen Martin
Sadly, on February 23rd, 2021 Maureen passed away peacefully at St. Boniface Hospital after an unexpected medical emergency.
She is survived by her sister Barbara Ann Huestis (nee Martin) and predeceased by her father, Bill Martin and mother, Aline Martin (nee Chaisson).
A woman of love for family and friends, books, travel, music, crosswords, photography and a gift of using language to convey her love for the world, rooted in faith.
In keeping with current restrictions, a viewing will be held at the Gilbart Funeral Chapel in Selkirk on Tuesday, March 2, for more details please contact Barb at barbie_paul@mvscs.com Cremation will follow and she will be interred with her mother at Assumption Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
A special thank you to the Doctors and nurses in St Boniface emergency and medical ICU departments, the attending paramedics for the stellar care given.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Maureen’s memory can be made to Heart & Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, Siloam Mission or Harvest Manitoba.
