Passed away at McCormick Home, London on January 10, 2021, in her 98th year. Maria was married to her beloved husband, John (2019) for 65 years.
Maria was a loving and supportive mother, friend, and confidant to her daughter Gerda Paal-Martinuzzi (Bryan) of London and just adored her only granddaughter, Jenna Renee Martinuzzi (Fabian) of Berlin, Germany.
Maria will be missed by her sister-in-law Katharina Yanke of Waterloo, several nieces and nephew, her family and friends. Maria is predeceased by her parents, Georg Gellner and Maria (neé Zirner), sister, Katharina Rehner (Michael), brother-in-law Michael Paal (Anna Maria), and brother-in-law, Bruno Yanke.
Maria and her husband made their home in West Lorne, Ontario for 64 years. Maria moved to McCormick Home in London in 2018. Maria was born in Birk, Romania and came to Canada in 1954, first to Windsor. She worked at various jobs, but was best regarded as a wife and homemaker for her family.

A private family service will be held at DENNING’S OF RODNEY on Friday, January 15th, 2021. Interment to follow at Rodney Cemetery, Rodney.
