Mariano Raposo De Sousa Wednesday December 29th 2021

DE SOUSA, Mariano Raposo –
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing our beloved Mariano at Joseph Brant Hospital on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 at the age of 84. Loving and devoted husband of Deodata for 57 years. Much loved father of Dorothy and her husband Robin Battye. Proud and cherished Vavo of Benjamin, Nicholas and Nathaniel. Dear brother of the late Cristina (the late Guilherme) Paiva, the late Eduino (Delminda), Leonarda (the late Manuel) Medeiros, the late Fernanda (the late Antonio) Soares, the late Jose (Lina), David (Lucia) and Gloria (Marcelino) Da Costa. Mariano will be fondly remembered by his brothers-in-law Jose (Hortencia) and John Correia, many nieces, nephews, family and friends in Canada and Portugal.
Mariano will be remembered for his natural ability to create instant friendships wherever he went, his quick wit, his unwavering loyalty to his family and his kindness and love for mankind. His beautiful presence will be missed at the family dinners which he treasured so dearly.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, private family services will take place. For those who wish to watch the funeral mass virtually a funeral webcast will take place on Monday, January 3, 2021 at 11 a.m. A celebration of life will take place at a later date.
If desired, donations to Cancer Research or the Ontario Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.
