Steadman, Marianne Louise:
Passed away peacefully on May 2, 2021, at Hospice Waterloo Region on her 81st birthday.
Wife of the late David Bruce Steadman. She leaves to mourn her daughter Dianne Beth Steadman, her 3 nieces and their children, her cousin Janet Dawson Brock (David) and Gail Kovach. She was predeceased by her parents Frank and Hilda Johnston (PEI) and sister Lion Wendy Johnston.
Marianne worked for 38 years for Central Park Lodge and Forest Heights Retirement Centre, and was a Charter Member of K-W Community Spirit Lions Club. She was an active member of the International Gospel Centre, teaching Sunday School and working with the Head Office of the Sunday School Department. Pastor Mark Emmerson knew he could call on Marianne to do whatever was necessary.
A private graveside service as taken place. Marianne was laid to rest beside her sister Wendy at Memory Gardens Cemetery, under the direction of the Henry Walser Funeral Home, 507 Frederick St. 519-749-8467. A Celebration of Life will be held at International Gospel Centre once Covid-19 restrictions have been eased.
Donations in memory of Marianne to International Gospel Centre-Orphanage Africa, or to the Lion’s Foundation of Canada, 152 Wilson St., Oakville, Ontario L6K 0G6 would be greatly appreciated by the family (cards available at the funeral home).
