1951 – 2021
It is with deep sadness, the family wishes to announce the passing of their beloved mother and grandmother Maria Martens, of Tillsonburg, age 70. Predeceased by her beloved husband Ben (2008). Loving mother of Susan Martin (Dan), Nancy Sawlor (Jeff), Lisa DeGroote, (Steve) Kathy Verbrugge (Stephen), Maria Hantz (Ryan). Cherished grandmother of Sofia, Jack, Andrew, Ashley, Erin, Meghan, Julia, Matthew, Zac, Nash, Ella and Grace. Also survived by several brothers and sisters. A private family graveside will take place at a later date. Interment will be held at Tillsonburg Cemetery. At the family’s request memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army in Woodstock to assist those in need of COVID-19 support/relief or to the London Middle Humane Society for animals in need of care, as our mother adored and loved all animals.
