Maria Martin (née Mazerolle)
1956-2021
RICHIBUCTO, NB – Maria Martin, 64, of Richibucto,
passed away peacefully, after a lengthy battle with cancer, on August
20th, 2021 at the Chaleur Regional Hospital,
Bathurst. Born in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Armand and
Stella (Kelly) Mazerolle. Maria worked as a cook and she was
passionate about taking care of her flowers.
Maria leaves to mourn her loving husband, Francis; her two
sons, Armand Martin (Natacha) and Michel Martin (April), both of
Bathurst; her six grandchildren, Cloé, Elody, Kaleigh,
Maxime, Cédric and Alexandra; as well as her
daughter-in-law, Hélène Bilodeau (late Paul) of
Québec.
Maria will also be sadly missed by her sister, Joanne
Robichaud (Ronald) of Richibucto; her three brothers,
François Mazerolle (Nicole), Leonard Mazerolle (Lise) and
Robert Mazerolle (Ruth), all of Richibucto; her sister-in-law, Debbie
Mazerolle (late Norm) of Richibucto; her goddaughter, Bianca Robichaud
of Richibucto; as well as by her many nieces and
nephews.
Besides her parents, Maria was predeceased by her son, Paul
Martin and her brother, Normand Mazerolle.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home,
Richibucto on Thursday from 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A
funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August
26th, 2021 at 11:00 am, St.-Louis-de-Gonzague
Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto. If so desired, donations in
Maria’s memory made to the Canadian Cancer Society (action.cancer.ca/en/ways-to-give)
would be appreciated by the family.
