BASCIANO, Maria Caterina (nee Giroldo) – Passed away peacefully at Extendicare Haliburton, on Friday, May 21, 2021. Maria of Minden was 96 years of age.
Beloved wife of the late Joseph Basciano. Loving mother of Leo (Maureen) and Janette (Paul). Cherished Nonna of Danielle (Bob), Paula, Amanda (Patrick) and Corey. Proud Great-Nonna of Emma, Erin, Ava and Devyn.
Maria will always be remembered for her selfless, compassionate nature. Her door was always open to anyone in need and there was always food, coffee and wine on hand. Maria could usually be found in the kitchen, cooking, or in her favourite chair, knitting.
Cremation entrusted to Ashburnham Funeral Home & Reception Centre. A Celebration of Life will be arranged when circumstances permit. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Hospital for Sick Children. Condolences may be made online at www.CommunityAlternative.ca
