Obituary of Marguerite (Benoit) Godin
It is with great sadness that the family of Marguerite M. (Benoit) Godin, wife of the late Norman F Godin, announces her passing which occurred on January 19, 2021, at Shannex Tucker Hall. Born February 29, 1932, in Tracadie, NB, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Marie (Thomas) Benoit.
Marguerite was a hard worker and had a heart of gold. She would do anything for her children and grandchildren. The staff at Shannex loved her, so much so that they called her “Mama”. They all enjoyed her feistiness.
She will be forever missed by her three daughters, Dianne Warner (Brian), Joanne Savoie (Joe), Sandra Godin (Bob Crosby); son, Norman Godin (Sandra Love); two brothers, Leonce Benoit and Alexie Benoit; two sisters, Marrianne and Albertine; as well as many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, and husband, she was predeceased by five brothers and one sister.
The family would like to extend a special thanks to the nurses and staff of Lilly Court – Shannex, for their amazing care, support, and for making her feel like one of their own.
