Obituary of Margaret Walter
Margaret Esther Walter (nee Fraser) passed peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at the Grey Bruce Health Service, Markdale on Tuesday, March 30, 2021 at the age of 81 years. Dearly loved and adored wife of Ray Walter for 56 years. Forever treasured mother of Shelley Walter and Shawn Walter. Cherished sister of Maxine Scott (Bob), Don Fraser (Cay, nee Ormsby) and Harvey Fraser (Terry, nee Armstrong). Dear sister-in-law of Louise Long (nee Walter) (Bill deceased). Predeceased by her parents, Kenneth and Elva Fraser (nee Hendry). A special thanks to the wonderful and caring staff at the Grey Bruce Health Services in Owen Sound and Markdale and the Listowel Memorial Hospital. A public visitation is being held at the Brian E. Wood Funeral Home, 250 14th Street East, Owen Sound on Tuesday, April 6 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. With COVID19 restrictions all attendees must wear a mask, follow social distancing protocols and schedule a time by calling the funeral home 519-376-7492 or by visiting their website www.woodfuneralhome.ca The website will also stream a private service on Wednesday, April 7 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Ed Hoekstra officiating. Interment in Ventry Cemetery, Dundalk. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church, the Owen Sound Regional Hospital Foundation or the Centre Grey Health Services Foundation Building Fund and can be made through the funeral home.
