Obituary of Margaret Annette Salak
We are heartbroken to announce the death of our mother on March 6, 2021 in her 88th year. Mom was dedicated to our family, cooking, sewing, making her own hats, doing needlepoint and quilts. In addition to her family life, Mom rejoined the workforce and made a name for herself at Peak Freans.
Our parents were married for 63 years before dad died of Alzheimer’s disease. Mom cared for him at home for many years and in the end was forced to put him in a nursing home. She then moved into Kawartha Lakes Retirement Home and made many friends. Mom’s health has been a challenge for quite some time. After a leg amputation she returned to the retirement home with high spirits, nothing was going to stop her! Isolation restrictions over the past year took its toll. She needed more care so she moved into Case Manor in Bobcaygeon in the same town where our parents lived in retirement.
We would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation for the care she received in both homes.
Her loving sons
David and Steven
