Obituary of Margaret Agnes McKibbin
McKIBBIN- Margaret Agnes (nee Braund) (Burton) of St. Thomas passed away peacefully at Valleview Home in St. Thomas with family by her side on Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at the age of 92. Beloved wife of the late Wilfred Allen McKibbin (2016) and the late Thomas William Burton (1967). Margaret believed she married two good men. She was married to Bill for 21 years and then to Wilf for 48 years. Special mom to Andrew (Mary) Burton, Kris Burton (Patricia Slattery), Lucille (Roy) Dickson, and Lorraine Hamilton (Peter McLean). Margaret will also be remembered by her daughter-in-law Sandra Forbes, her nine grandchildren and her many great grandchildren. Predeceased by her oldest daughter Sheila Brooks, her two stepsons Wayne and Terry Forbes. Margaret was also predeceased by her siblings Robert Braund, Donald Braund, Norma Dalpe, Audrey Showers and Elaine LeFave. Due to COVID-19 a private family funeral will be held at the Shawn Jackson Funeral Home 31 Elgin Street, St. Thomas (519-631-0570) on Friday, January 29, 2021 at 11:00 am. For those unable to attend, a livestream will be made available on Margaret’s tribute page on the funeral home website. Interment in Aylmer Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Salvation Army Citadel St. Thomas or the Alzheimer Society Elgin-St. Thomas would be appreciated. Personal condolences to the family can be made at www.sjfh.ca
