Margaret Pleasants 2021

Obituary of Margaret Pleasants
Margaret, known as “Omi” by her grandchildren, departed her loving family on February 15, 2021, age 86.
Margaret was born in Soest, Germany on March 24, 1934, to Sofie and Alfred Borggräfe.
Margaret was happily married for 65 years to her devoted husband Fred, and she was a loving mother to Isolde, Mark, and Adrian. She and Fred raised their children with care and affection in Ajax, Ontario.
As a dental assistant, Margaret was known for her goodness, joy, and gentle touch. Her hobbies included photography, traveling, cooking, hiking, and reading. She was a wonderful role model and pillar to the family, and she will be remembered for making Canada the new home for the family’s future.
Margaret is survived by her husband Fred, children Isolde and Mark, grandchildren Gavin, Ryan, John, Michael, Aidan, Leah, and Skye, sister Renate, brother-in-law Teja, and sister-in-law Hilda, and relatives Gareth, Hazel, and April. With many dear friends, Margaret’s special memory will live on in each of us.
In keeping with the COVID 19 restrictions a private family service will be held at the DeStefano Funeral Home, 1289 Keith Ross Drive in Oshawa 905 440 3595. A Celebration of Life will is being planned for a later date. If desired, Memorial donations to Hearth Place Cancer Support Centre would be appreciated.
