Margaret Edmondson Anguish Monday September 20th 2021

Margaret Edmondson
Peacefully, on September 20, 2021, in London Ontario, our ‘dear heart’, Margaret Suzanne Edmondson, slipped away to her heavenly home. Loving wife to the late Wilfred Edmondson, devoted mother to Suzanne (Ian, Clare), Kathryn (Ron), and Nancy. Proud Grammie to Skylar, Angelika, Sebastian and Hunter. Predeceased by parents L. Roy and Etta Anguish and sister Marilyn. Margaret was born and raised in Paris, Ontario. She attended Central Public School and Paris District High School before graduating from Hamilton General Hospital School of Nursing. She was an outstanding RN at Hamilton General and Brantford General Hospitals and an inspiring teacher at St. Joseph’s Hospital nursing school. She was caring and loving in her role as a nurse at long-term care facilities for years. She found artistic expression as a writer, landscape painter, flute player (St. George, Brantford Memorial Concert Band, and Christian Band) and floral arranger whose beautiful displays at Belholme Trading Company graced many homes. She created welcoming spaces for family and friends at Belholme Avenue and the Governors Road farmhouse, but her happiest place was the family cottage on Eagle Lake where she and Dad enjoyed 55 summers. By the sandy shore, she delighted in her children and her treasured grandchildren, encouraging them, laughing with them and teaching them to read, swim and appreciate nature and God’s world. Even in the rain, she never missed her early morning dip or her daily two-hour walk through the Park, a familiar figure with her sunhat, walking stick and cheery greeting for all. Margaret shone brightly and her compassion, kindness and loving nature will be missed by all who knew her. Deepest gratitude to the staff of Evergreen Walk, McCormick Home, London, who kept her safe and smiling even through these COVID times. At Margaret’s request, cremation has taken place, with a celebration to honour the lives of Margaret and Bill planned for Spring 2022. The family welcomes online memories and condolences at www.wmkippfuneralhome.com.
