Obituary
With heavy hearts, the family of Margaret Badeau announces her passing, which occurred peacefully, with her family at her side at the Saint John Regional Hospital on October 19th, 2021, after a brief illness. Born in Saint John on April 13, 1928, she was a daughter of the late John and Helen (McAuley) Tremaine, and the loving wife of Real Badeau for 53 years. During her working years, Margaret worked for New System Laundry, and Fundy Linen. Along with her husband Real, Margaret is survived by her children; son David (Michelle) daughters Beth Dexter (Karl) and Jackie Carr (Gordon), her loving sister and best friend Doris, who she talked to every day; grandchildren Meggie, Eric, Courtney (Corey), and Ashley; great-grandchildren Olivia, Kamden, and Cameron, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Margaret was pre-deceased by 5 sisters, and her first husband, James Crockett.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424). In keeping with Margaret’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, remembrances to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
