Dorman, Margaret Alice (nee Foley)
We are mourning the loss of a very special lady. On Sunday, November 28th, Margaret in her 101st year left us and is now reunited with her heavenly family – her husband Larry Dorman, parents John & Marjorie Foley, sisters Marietta Foley, Rita Mackan, Dolores Mallon, Geraldine Whitney and brother Bill Foley. She will be missed by her brother Jack Foley and sister-in-law Anne Foley.
Loving mother of Marjorie Murphy (the late John Murphy) and Larry Dorman (Anna). Grandmother to Lisa Parra (Ross), and Cheryl Hamilton (Dawit), Larry Dorman Jr. (Michelle) and Ryan Dorman (Tiffany). Great grandmother of Julia, Jacob, Joshua, Megan, Jaden, Amara, Tyler, Alicia, Wesley and Bryce. Special Granny to Stephen and Melanie Keyes (Victoria and Braeden) and David & Sarah Keyes.
She loved and was loved by many nieces and nephews. Margaret was a lifelong member of Canadian Martyrs Church and the Catholic Woman’s League. We will miss her immensely but will celebrate her long and remarkable life.
Cremation has taken place. Visitation will be held at P.X. DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 796 Upper Gage Ave., on Friday, December 3rd from 4-6pm & 7-9pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at Canadian Martyrs Church (1349 Main St W, Hamilton, ON) on Saturday, December 4th at 10:30am.
Interment of cremated remains will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice, or think of Margaret while having a visit and a cup of tea with a relative or friend.
Due to Covid-19 anyone wishing to attend the visitation or Mass must RSVP by calling the funeral home at 905-388-4141 or on the website at www.dermodys.com. Everyone must wear a mask and practice social distancing. A special thank you to the caring staff of Balsam Trail at St. Joseph’s Villa.
