Obituary for
Marcel Pothier
It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden passing of Marcel ‘Joe’ Pothier at his home on Thursday, November 4th, 2021 at the age of 80 years. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 56 years Paulette (née Pilon) of St. Charles. His loving children Jocelyne (Guy), Sylvie (Norm), Chantal (Gary), Shawn (Sara). His cherished grandchildren Jenna (Pat), Joey (Adam), Stef (Courtney), Shannon (Robbie), Zak, Bohdan and Luka. Great grandchildren Jaedyn and Xavier. He is predeceased by his parents Marcel Pothier Sr. and Aline (née Chamberland) and brother Gilles (Claudette). Brother of Rachel (Roland). Joe also leaves behind many other loving family members, hunting partners and friends, including his most special companions his dog’s Nico and PK. Joe held many titles in his life including bus driver, mayor of St. Charles and owner operator of Pothier Convenience for 50 years. He took much pride in his community and its members and leaves a large void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Tu vas nous manquer. A church service will be held on Friday, November 12th, 2021 at Paroisse St. Charles Borromée, 31 Main St., St. Charles at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to the Diabetes Canada. www.cooperativefuneralhome.ca
