Peacefully passed at his home in Barrie with his wife and extended family by his side on Monday, July 19th, 2021 at the age of 93 years. Beloved husband of Maria. Loving father of Emilia Angela, Marta Rosa and step-father of Rosalia Miceli and Martina Mazza. Will be missed by his extended family of grandchildren and great grandchildren Rosanna O’higgins, Maria Edwards, Michael Mazza, Joseph Mazza, Martina Miceli, Leonardo Miceli and great grandfather of Francesca, Giles Chiara (O’Higgins), Emilia, Christian Edwards, Leo Mazza, Ben Mazza, Rocco Mazza, Domenic Mazza, Giuseppe Miceli and Carmelina Miceli. Dear brother of Stefano and Filippa (Parisi). Predeceased by his brothers Giuseppe, Vincenze, Filippo and Domenica (Zambito).
Born in Montallegro, moved to Milan where he served 35 years as a Police Officer, dedicating his life to serve his country. He was a role model for his extended family and will be greatly missed by all.
Visitation will take place at the Steckley-Gooderham Funeral Home, 30 Worsley St., Barrie on Friday, July 23rd, 2021 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Mary’s Church, 65 Amelia St., Barrie at 10 am on Saturday, July 24th, 2021 with Interment at the Holy Cross Cemetery to follow. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice and are greatly appreciated by the family. Online condolences and memories may be left at www.steckleygooderham.com
