Obituary of Malcom MacIver
Malcolm MacIver
We, that knew this mostly quiet mild mannered man, will miss his smile, hearty laugh, listening ear, wealth of knowledge and words of wisdom: “Life goes on, like it or not.”
Our love for him will not die. The people that Mac saw on his ‘mall walks’ in P.A. will also miss him. Malcolm was born in Stornoway Sask. to Murdo and Mary MacIver. Still in his teens Malcolm (Mac) moved to Dundurn. He married Edna Thode. They had three children. He worked many years at the Dundurn Camp. Malcolm and his second wife Kathleen travelled, worked and lived in many places from Sask. to BC and each place was “The best place ever”. Mac still ran a combine at age 80 for his friends (almost family) the Herzog’s.
Left to mourn his peaceful passing are his children: Janine (Walter) Katelnikoff, Rita (Geoff) Squires, Ken (Miriam) MacIver, Kathleen’s children: Wendy Arno, Ronaye (Garett) Willington and David (Holly) McPhee. 11 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, one gr.gr. grandchild and many nieces and nephews as well as numerous friends. Malcolm was predeceased by: wives Edna 1986 and Kathleen 2014, step son-in-law Lawrence Arno and stepdaughter Marine Perran, Grandson Dustin MacIver also by his siblings: John, Kitty, Dolina, Mary and Don.
We wish to thank all those who have helped us at this difficult time. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Cancer Society or the Legion, branch #2 in P.A.
As per Dad’s wishes and due to Covid-19, there will be no service.
