Obituary of Mae Hunt
It is with sadness that the family of Hilda Mae Hunt, age 76, announces her death which occurred on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at Sus Health Centre. She was born on November 30, 1944 in Pools Island, NL, a daughter of the late Stewart and Elizabeth (Wicks) Starkes.
Mae is survived by her children: Lorraine Elliott, Lillian (Rocky) Wells, Rodney (Lorraine) Hunt, Randy (Linda) Hunt, John (Ruchi) Hunt, Janis (Donnie) Boyde; grandchildren: Heaven Nancy (Jamie) Hamlyn, Larry Elliott, Christopher Wells, Ryan (Tara) Wells, Cassandra Hunt (Corey), Charmayne (Frankie) Prouse, Joseph Boyde, Bryanna Boyde; great-grandchildren: Cody Hamlyn, Nicole Hamlyn, Noah McNulty, Callen Prouse, Colton Prouse, Isabella Boyde, James Boyde; sisters: Trixie Pearl McNeil, Christine Collins; brothers: Fred (Marilyn) Starkes, Rocky Starkes; best friend, Edith (Gary) Cook; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Mae is also predeceased by her daughter Trixie Pearl Hunt; son Corey Hunt; sisters: Lillian Gillies, Jessie Cutler, Yvonne Gibbons, Edith Starkes; brothers: Jacob Starkes, Stephen Starkes, Cyril George Starkes and Hayward Starkes; son-in-law, Larry Elliott.
Arrangements are entrusted to the care of Wallace Funeral Home, 34 Sunnyside Drive, Sus NB (506-433-1176). Funeral service will take place later in Trinity, Bonivista Bay, Newfoundland.
