Passed peacefully away on Friday, September 24, 2021 at Western Long Term Care with family by her side, Madeline Wells at the age of 85. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Wendy, Bob (Colleen), Lillian (Paul) Keough, Trudy (Jim) Randell, Ted (Marvella), and Mark (Cindy); grandchildren: Megan (Dan), Nadine (Cody), Bradley (Morgan), Brett (Stephanie), Robyn, Samantha (Thomas), Robert, Andrew and Allie; great grandchildren: Nathan and Arley. Brothers and sister: Elwin, Ted and Mona; sister-in-law Rhoda; special friend and sister Jessie and Doug Flynn. Sisters and brothers-in-law: Neville, Nina, Eric and Catherine. A large circle of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by husband Lloyd (2016); great granddaughter Arabella; parents Stedman and Dulcie; stepfather Gordon; brother Graham; mother and father-in-law Albert and Alvina; brothers and sisters-in-law Wilbur (Alfreda), Noble (Jenny), Beatrice (Edgar), Verna and Sylvia. Friends may visit Fillatre’s Funeral Home, 4 St. Marks Avenue on Sunday from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 7:00 -9:00 pm to a maximum of 30 people at a time, Monday from 11:00 am – 1:00 pm at St. Paul’s Anglican Church in Summerside followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm with Reverend Kay Osmond officiating. In compliance with Covid-19 regulations, masks will be required at both the visitation and funeral with sign in at the door. Interment will follow at Mt. Patricia Cemetery. Special thank you to Dr. Wadhwa and all the staff and residents at Western Long Term Care on the Natures Haven Unit for their outstanding care, friendship and kindness. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or memorial donations may be made to St. Paul’s Anglican Church.
