It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Kam Nelson MacGregor. Kam passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family.
Kam lived exactly the life that he wanted. Kam and Dianne, his wife of 46 years, worked hard to build the life they dreamed of for their family. Nothing gave them as much joy and pride as spending time with their family, and especially the grandchildren.
Kam was larger than life and had the incredible ability to embrace and accept anyone he met. He welcomed everyone to his home, bunkhouse, campfire, cookstove or trail, and this led to endless life-long friendships. Kam lived with integrity and was known as a true horseman. Kam often said his bucket list was empty.
Kam will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Dianne; his children and grandchildren Scott, Joe and Holly; Shannon (Bill), Wyatt, Maclin, and Tessa; Heather (Ryan) and Marty; Kent (Amanda), Everett, and Kaycee; Megan (Percy), Emmerence and Mason; his siblings sister Shelley, brothers Ross and Barton; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Kam was predeceased by his mother Ruby, father Duncan and stepfather Paul Heinz, his grandparents Nels and Philomen Jensen, and Dianne’s parents Patrick and Simonne Sheehan.
A private Celebration of Life will be held on the farm.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be mailed to: Crohn’s and Colitis Canada, 3100, 246 Stewart Green SW, Calgary, AB T3H 3C8.
