Lynne Chaperon Kydd 1948 2021

Obituary for
Lynne Chaperon (Kydd)
Chaperon, Lynne (nee Kydd)
1948-2021
It is with profound sadness that the family shares the passing of Lynne Chaperon (nee Kydd) at Timmins and District Hospital with her family by her side. Lynne was predeceased by her best friend and beloved husband of 43 years, Jean-Claude Chaperon, as well as her parents Rona and Clarence Kydd, her grandparents Ronald and Annie Taylor and her brother Ronald Kydd. She will be deeply missed by her daughter Chantal and son (in law) Sylvain Cote. She will also be remembered fondly by cherished family friends James and Dianne Burt and Jackie Lajoie, and her niece Samantha Kydd-Graham. She held a special place in her heart for her grandpup, Tucker.
Mom was truly a remarkable lady who has left a lasting impression on the lives of all those she touched. She had a special way of making everyone around her feel loved and important, and always put the needs of others before her own. She was a devoted wife, mother and daughter who gave unconditional love and support. Mom found her greatest joy in spending time with family and she enjoyed cooking and baking and sharing cherished family traditions. Mom loved music and was a talented piano player. She spent many evenings playing favourite songs and the sound of her music will be greatly missed. She found peace when working in her garden and enjoyed crocheting beautiful blankets for family and friends. In her early years mom enjoyed curling and singing in the church choir. She volunteered for the Anson General Hospital Auxiliary and worked in the school to support children with special needs. She had a calm and reassuring presence and a patient and gentle way of teaching.
Mom found pleasure in the “small things” and she taught us to treasure each and every moment. She showed us how to lead our lives with integrity, to always do our best and to treat all people with kindness and respect. There are no words to describe our loss. We will hold her love and wisdom in our hearts forever. As mom would say, “Bye for now,” but we know that we will be together again.
We would like to thank Dr. Gill and his staff at Health Sciences North Hospital and the Family Health Team in Iroquois Falls for their wonderful care. We would also like to share our appreciation for the dedicated staff in the oncology department at Timmins and District Hospital and to the compassionate nurses and staff in the surgical and hospice departments. These remarkable care givers treated Mom with dignity and respect and made her feel comfortable and loved. They also provided strength and support to our family, without which we could not have made it through these difficult days. As per Mom’s wishes, we will not be holding a service and cremation has taken place. In her memory, donations can be made to the Anson General Hospital Auxiliary or to Timmins and District Hospital Foundation – Hospice Centre. The funeral arrangements are entrusted with the Miron-Wilson Funeral Home, Cremation and Reception Centre 150 Balsam St. S. Timmins, ON. “Did you ever know that you’re my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly high against the sky
So high I almost touch the sky
Thank you, thank you
Thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings.”

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Lynne
