Obituary for Lynn McDonald
It is with heavy hearts that we must announce the peaceful passing of Lynn Arling McDonald, a resident of Wallaceburg with his family by his side on September 30, 2021 at the age of 73. Beloved husband of Susan (nee Squires) and cherished father of Tammy (Paul) Schepens and Kevin McDonald. He will be missed and remembered as a wonderful Papa by his grandchildren Tyler (Kaley) Schepens and Taryn Schepens (Ethan Case) and by his grand fur babies Mia and Button. Son of the late Arling and Dorothy McDonald and dear brother of Karen (the late Lloyd) Northcott, Cathy (Junior) Kelly and the late Gerry McDonald. Dear brother in law to Carol (Rene) Van Hyfte, Bill (the late Anne) Squires and Jim (Rose) Squires. Remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, very special neighbours and friends. Lynn was a people person who always loved to socialize, whether it was his time as a cameraman at CFPL-TV, as a small business owner of Oil Guard Sarnia and Rivertown Truck and Van or employed at The Beer Store. Lynn enjoyed being an amateur photographer and always going on a road trip across North America. He was also an avid car race fan and enjoyed many sporting adventures. Lynn loved to volunteer at the Leukemia Bottle Drive, if you so desire, donations may be made to bottledrive.ca, Wallaceburg Minor Hockey or Lacrosse can be left at HAYCOCK-CAVANAGH FUNERAL HOME, 409 Nelson Street in Wallaceburg, 519.627.3231.
