Lynn Brideau
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our darling mother, Lynn Brideau (Evangeline Marie LeClair) at the Foyer Assumption in Rogersville on March 16, 2021. She was born in Beaverbrook to Frederick & Elizabeth (Comeau) LeClair on June 21, 1925 and would have been 96 on her birthday this year.
Mom was a wonderful homemaker who kept an organized, clean house. She was a great cook and could whip up a meal out of nothing. She was an awesome bowler and had a box full of trophies to prove it. Mom had a great appreciation for music and loved being surrounded by it. She got her driver’s license at 60 and got a new camera at 75 and learned to take some great photos. She even started using a computer in her early 80’s and sent emails to family and friends. She was the TV remote control queen. Most times dad would just pass it to her and ask her to find the channel he was looking for. She had a broad range of interests and there was nothing she couldn’t learn.
She is survived by three daughters: Dianne (Stephen) Fitzpatrick; Carmel (Garry) MacTavish; and Jackie LeGrow; two sons: Ron (Monique) and David (Lisa); 13 grand children, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Armand and her grandson, Paul. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family having been predeceased by her parents Frederick and Elizabeth (Comeau) LeClair as well as sisters Helen (Earl) O’Brien, Loretta (Greg) Campbell, Mona (Bob) Vienneau, Laurina (Babe) Heubach and brothers Simon and Morgan.
The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Foyer Assumption for the tender loving care mom received during her time there. The staff and residents there became her extended family.
Due to COVID, funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date.
