It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Lyle Eugene Dillabough “The Ottawa Valley Troubadour”. Lyle passed peacefully and surrounded by the love of his family in Civic hospital on the morning of January 30th 2021.
Lyle was born in Bancroft on September 29, 1959 but spent most of his life in the Ottawa Valley. He was well-known as a talented musician, story-teller, writer, and humanitarian. He found beauty in everything.
Lyle will be greatly missed by his mother Ruth. Predeceased by father Murnie and brother Leon (Joyce), and survived by his siblings Lynn (Ellen) and Lois (Bruce).
Lyle is eternally loved and will be missed by his children Crystal, Amy and Taylor. His grandchildren Lochlyn, Ryder, Tieran and Aveline. His nieces Sarah, Amanda and Natasha.
Lyle was a man of community who was often fundraising and bringing people together. A Musical Tribute to celebrate his life and commemorate his legacy will occur at a future date TBD.
