STALLONE, Luigi – Passed away peacefully at Toronto General Hospital with his loving family at his side on Tuesday November 30, 2021 at the age of 81. Beloved husband of Carmela Stallone for 54 years. Loving father of Raffaella (Rick) Puglisi, Joseph (Leanne) Stallone and Nancy (Pouyan) Stallone. Cherished grandfather of Anthony Puglisi, Lauren Stallone, Joseph Puglisi, Olivia Stallone, Mark Puglisi and Nathan Zarrabi. Luigi was born in Giovinazzo, Italy to his parents Giuseppe and Raffaella Stallone (Stepmother Teresa Stallone) and was a loving brother to his sisters Angela Serrone, the late Anna Bonserio and the late Nunzia Stallone. He arrived in Canada alone in September of 1959 at the age of 18. Luigi was blessed to have a large network of friends throughout his life that he cherished. He was a renowned community leader who volunteered his time at Club Italia, coaching soccer, and raising money for various charitable organizations. Luigi was also an avid sports fan, enjoying the beautiful game of soccer the most, and his beloved Azzurri and Juventus. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family sharing a meal together and watching a game. A special thank you from his family to his guardian angel Dr. John Granton, head of respirology at University Health Network, Mount Sinai Hospital, and Women’s College Hospital. Luigi will be remembered for his sense of humour, quick wit, and willingness to help anyone. He will be missed by many.
