It is with broken hearts, we announce the passing of Lucy
Duplessie of Riverview, which occurred Friday, November 5, 2021 at The
Moncton Hospital.
Born in Baie-Sainte-Anne, she was the daughter of the late
Lamon and Madeleine (Sippley) Duplessis.
In her working career, Lucy worked as a cook at the Hotel
Dieu Hospital, Chatham NB, for 36 years; she was a caring mother and
could be found in her kitchen on the weekends baking for her family.
Her family meant the world to her & held them close to her
heart.
She could be found curled up with a good book, knitting or
with friends playing a game of cards.
She will be remembered and missed by her daughter Debra(Kevin
Moar), sister Judith, brothers: Thomas (Ursula), Nazaire (Marguerite),
Gerry (Diane) and her many nieces and nephews. She will also be missed
by her companions Bo & Belle.
Aside from her parents, Lucy was predeceased by her partner
Doug Callendar, brother George, sister Ludivine, niece Jacqueline and
nephew Michel.
The family would like to thank her caregiver Cathy for being
so wonderful with her & Moncton Hospital for providing
excellent care, specifically the palliative care unit, you are
Angels.
Her family will be receiving family and friends on Thursday,
November 11, 2021 from 1:00pm until the funeral service at 2:00pm at
Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Rd.
Riverview (869-2007). For those who wish to attend
either events, please remember to bring proof of double vaccination,
provincial identification and have your face mask. In
memory of Lucy, donations may be made to the Royal Canadian Legion
Branch #30 or Autism Resource Centre.
