Lucette’s strength and resilience was apparent throughout her short battle with colon cancer as she fought until the very end.
She passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Sunday, July 11, 2021 at 11:11 a.m., she was 63 years of age.
Loving wife to Terry for 44 years. They just celebrated their wedding anniversary on July 2nd and they always made time to dance together, even when she was sick, Terry took her in his arms to dance.
Beloved Mother to Jessica Burrell (Corrie Graham), Mike Burrell (Dayna) and Diana Blais (Beau). Cherished Grandma to Amelia, Presley, Vaunne, Brooklynn, Vivian, Charlie and Beckham. Loving daughter to Gertrude and Larry. Predeceased by her father George Lavoie (1982), Brother Mario Lavoie (2017), In-Laws Dorothy (2014) and Raymond Burrell (2017). Survived by her siblings Marty Driscoll (Jim) and Nancy Marentette (Chris), Diane Balen, Anthony Burrell (Andrea), Randy Burrell (Charlene), Richard Burrell. Special “Sister” to Debbie Mayhew.
Lucette was always the smiling face greeting you at Belle River Source for Sports whenever you needed to get something engraved to CELEBRATE an accomplishment! And she was no stranger to accomplishments herself, besides saying her biggest accomplishment was her family (kids and grandkids), she crushed all the challenges she ever took on in her life. Helping her beloved build a cottage, entering a fitness competition at 40, taking up running at 50 (completing several races and even a half marathon) and renovating their forever home, just to name a few.
To know her was to know how much she loved her family and close friends, her incredible sense of fashion, high heels and lipstick! She would say, she wasn’t a princess, she was the Queen…especially when she was on the back of the Harley, riding with Terry!!
She always had lots of love and smiles for everyone she met, her presence lit up every room.
Lucette will be sadly missed by her friends and family.
