REMIGIS, Louise Henriette
It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Louise Henriette Remigis on December 1, 2021, at the age of 98. Predeceased by her loving husband Edward (2000). Much loved mother of Randy (Helen) Remigis, Sandra Remigis and Marty (Leslee) Remigis. Loving grandmother of Shauna, Ryan, Alanna, Callie, Andri, Atli, Dathi, Bradley, Andrew and Christine. Great grandmother to Nevaeh, Aida, Kylee, Hailey and Brooklyn. Sister of Paul (Helen) Babin and predeceased by her parents, Eloi and Anita Babin, and 11 of her sisters and brothers.
Louise, of Acadian French origin, was born in Eel Brook, Nova Scotia on April 15, 1923. She made her way to Hamilton with two of her sisters to seek employment. It was there that she met Edward, whom she married in 1950. As a devoted wife and mother, Louise enjoyed spending time with family and friends, bowling, knitting, sewing, gardening, baking, volunteering and travelling.
The family would like to thank all the wonderful staff in Jamesville, at Queen’s Garden Long Term Care Residence. The care and compassion you gave Louise was greatly appreciated. It was wonderful to know that she was in such good, caring hands. As expressions of sympathy please make any donations to The Alzheimer Society of Ontario. A private ceremony and interment has already taken place.
