Obituary
Louise passed away on June 25, 2021 at the South Health Campus in Calgary surrounded by her husband Allen, and her five children: Austin, Christopher, Adrienne, Jonathan, and Bryan after battling metastatic cancer.
Born to Walter and Anne Panich at the hospital in Lamont, Alberta she grew up on a farm outside Saint Michael. Louise went to the University of Alberta, graduating with a degree in education. She then taught Kindergarten to grade 9 in various places they lived in Alberta. She and Allen celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in April 2021.
Louise was an active member of her community and devout in her faith through her commitments in the Catholic Women’s League of Calgary, Retrouvaille Calgary, and more recently with the RC Carmelites. She was an inspiration to all and lately in participation with the BEST group of self-supporting cancer patients.
She is survived by her husband Allen, her five children, seven grandchildren, and two brothers (Larry and Bernie).
A Prayer Vigil will be held on Thursday, July 1, 2021 (7:00pm or 8:00pm time to be confirmed) and the Funeral Mass at St Peter’s Catholic Church on Friday, July 2nd at 10:00am (Live streaming* available through the link to be posted below).
In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
