Lorne’s Obituary
MUIRHEAD, Lorne Willard – age 86, of Greenwood NS, went to be with Jesus on March 1, 2021. Lorne, fondly known as “Friar Tuck”, was born in Nelson, BC, the son of the late William Omer and Viola May (Sweet) Muirhead. He is survived by his wife, Adrienne (Trudeau) Muirhead, better known as “Kim”; his sister, Iris Hooge, Grand Forks, BC; daughter, Yvonne Muirhead, Trenton, ON; grandsons, Nathaniel Peters, Montreal and Warren Peters, Moncton, NB; as well as many nephews and nieces. Lorne was employed for 43 years as a Locomotive Engineer for CP Railway, CN Railway and BC Rail, retiring in 1999. He loved his job, going to work happy and returning home happy. He enjoyed his Model Railway Club and his work in the Gideon Ministry. Lorne served in many positions in his church and was a ranger in Boys Brigade, always willing to do whatever he was called upon to do. He was a people person, outgoing and gregarious, often telling railroad stories to anyone who would listen. Lorne was a man of honor and integrity, kind and generous to a fault, a man of faithfulness and vast patience and was loved by all. A memorial service will be announced at a later date. Donations in memory may be made to the Gideon Ministry or to Emmanuel Christian Congregational Church. Arrangements have been entrusted to Middleton Funeral Home, 398 Main St. toll free 1-855-825-3448. Online guestbook may be signed by visiting: www.middletonfuneralhome.com
