In honour and recognition of a true free spirit
Lorne Vernon Poier passed suddenly on March 21, 2021. Born 1945 in New Westminster BC, he is predeceased by parents Ed & Audrey, and twin brother Larry. Raised on the family farm, his work life included Fred Deeley Motorcycles, Longshoring, and Weyerhaeuser Princeton. After arriving in the Kootenays, he worked at Lang’s and Pharmasave. Lorne’s interest and passions always included music and motorcycles. As a musician, he was known as a 5-string banjo man. His motorcycle buddies often found him tinkering on his ‘64 Triumph.
A genuine renaissance man, Lorne is remembered with love by his son Skye (Ali), brother Ron (Deolinda), partner Jake (Evelyn) Murfitt, the Crowley’s, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
