Obituary
Lorne Allen Thompson passed away on November 30, 2021, at the age of ninety-one years.
Born on May 16, 1930, in Silver Park, Saskatchewan, Lorne was one of nine siblings.
Having met his love Phyllis, they went on to be married for over 70 years raising five children: Dawn, Rod, Gay, Kelly, and Terry.
Lorne and Phyllis loved golfing together, whether in Windermere, Palm Springs, or wherever a good golf course could be found. Having a deep love for travel, they spent summers in Windermere where they could be with family and friends.
Lorne is survived by Phyllis; children Dawn (Ben), Gay (Wayne), Kelly (Michelle), and daughter-in-law Leslie; his five grandchildren Jessie, Jake, Megan, Joanna, and Jeff; as well as his seven great-grandchildren and friends. Predeceased by sons Terry and Rod.
Lorne was greatly loved by many and will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at the Bow Valley Christian Church; details to follow. In lieu of flowers, friends are invited to make a donation in Lorne’s memory to Bow Valley Christian Church.
