Lorna Simon
1927 – 2021
The family of Lorna May Simon announce her peaceful passing at Masterpiece Southland Meadows in Medicine Hat on Thursday, August 19, 2021, at the age of 94 years. Lorna was born in Kamloops, BC on Monday, April 25, 1927. Her family will forever remember her as a loving, kind hearted and gracious lady who loved and cared for her family very much. Lorna leaves to cherish her memory: children, Kelly (Bev) Simon, Glenn (Jessie) Simon, Cindy (Don) Gauthier, Cheryle (Rick) Eresman, Penny (Bob) Ledarney and Mark Simon; sister, Gladys Hardy of West Kelowna; 16 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lorna was predeceased by her husband of 64 years, Cy (Orville) Simon; son, James Gary Simon; parents, Robert Bichan Ward and Ercel Lena Ward (nee Graham) as well as a brother and 6 sisters. Family wish to extend their heartfelt appreciation to all of the staff at Masterpiece for the wonderful, loving care provided to Lorna thoughout her stay there. A private graveside service will take place at Hillside Cemetery.
