Lorna’s Obituary
In such a short time our hearts are once again broken and our lives forever changed as we the family of our beloved partner, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend Lorna King announce her sudden passing at her residence in Cape Ray on Saturday, March 6th, 2021 at the age of 37 years. Lorna was predeceased by her father; Lorne Pearce just ten days before her own passing, grandparents; John (Rose) Pearce (nee Barker) and Minta and Hazel King (nee Herritt), uncles; Maxwell Pearce, Wilson Pearce, Leonard Pearce, Jerome Pearce, aunts; Marie Borne, Violia Greer, Vivian Diddy, and Madonna Pearce.
Lorna leaves to mourn with many fond and precious memories her loving partner of 14 years; Troy Walters. She also leaves behind her loving mother Marilyn Pearce (nee King), son; Tanner Walters, brothers; Christopher (Janice) Meade of St. John’s, NL, Clinton (Charmane) Meade of Stephenville, NL, Jamie (Jennifer) King of Sarnia, ON, sisters; Jodi (Jon Walsh) King-Pearce of Camrose, AB, Holly Seaward of Port aux Basques, NL, nieces and nephews; Cassandra Meade, Sarah Meade, Ryder Walsh, Sarah King, Chloe Meade, and Caiden Meade. Lorna will be forever missed by her uncles; Clayton Pearce (Mryra Borne) of Ontario; Calvin King of St. John’s, NL, aunts; Angeline Lomond (Albert Ingram), Geraldine (Gordon) Osmond, Bessie Pearce all of Port aux Basques, NL, Ivy (Paul) Taverner, Joan Pearce, Elizabeth Pearce all of Cape Ray, NL, and Jean Pearce of Corner Brook, NL plus lifetime friends Thomas Hayward and Adam Sheaves.
Lorna will also remain in the hearts of her father and mother-in-law; Bernie (Elizabeth) Walters, brother-in-law; Brent (Tina) Walters, sister-in-law; Raylene (Mike) Baker, nephew; Jay Walters (Kimberly Harvey), nieces; Breanna Walters all Isle aux Morts, NL, Brooke Baker of Paradise, NL, plus a large circle of extended family and many friends.
In keeping with Lorna’s wishes, cremation has taken place. There will be no formal visitation or funeral service at this time. In lieu of flowers, donations in Lorna’s memory can be made to the family.
